The Cambridge Skating Club is pleased to present a celebration on ice of ‘Canadiana’, for ‘Canada’s 150th’ anniversary.
Toller Cranston (1949-2015) was a member of the [former] Galt Skating Club, now known as the Cambridge Skating Club, during his youth. Cranston was a prolific innovator for artistry in mens figure skating in the 1970’s and changed the sport for future generations of skaters and fans. A special tribute to the former Canadian Mens Figure Skating Champion, World and Olympic Bronze medalist will take place on ice. An exclusive pop-up gallery by Artworld Fine Art Gallery will feature original oil paintings from the estate of the late artist, 1-5pm.
We are happy to announce that a more extensive art exhibit will move to Cambridge City Hall for two weeks following the Ice Show. This will provide the local community an amazing opportunity to experience the famous late artists’ paintings first hand.
