Cambridge Skating Club prides itself in having coaches and volunteers who want to make a difference in children’s lives. In order for our Club to achieve it’s goals in programming and fun events, we need committed parents like YOU to share your time and talents. Talk to one of the volunteers in the CSC Office regarding opportunities to make a difference in your child’s skating experience.
Do you have previous skating experience in either Figure Skating, Hockey or Ringette?If so, you may be eligible to become a Program Assistant in our CANSKATE or Power programs. We are looking for motivated Program Assistants (age 12+) to assist in CANSKATE programs and will also accept approved P.A.'s in Training (ages 10-11). High School students can earn their volunteer hours too!

In the group CANSKATE Programs we have several Special Theme Days throughout the 11 week sessions. More details will be available in the newsletter that is handed out during the first week of skating.
Winter Fun Fest is a STARSKATE event that is for all levels. STARSKATERS participate as teams and individuals in fun events. Winter Fun Fest depends on parent volunteer participation. Registration forms will be available from your coach. FUN for all!
Festive Family Fun Skate is an event for ALL of our skating families from all skating programs, to wrap up the last day before the holiday break.

Trying to navigate yourself in the new world of figure skating? We want to help make it easier for you.
Parents of Fast Track and STAR 1 skaters are requested to attend an informative meeting regarding skating, plus a Q&A session. Bring your list of skating questions!

Ice Show, or Showcase, is an ice show for ALL CSC skaters from all programs & levels. Skaters perform choreographed routines to music or display their new skating skills for family and friends to watch. This is a very popular event that skaters look forward to yearly!
As with any large event many volunteers and organizers are required to make it a success. Therefore the Showcase will only take place if there are sufficient volunteers.

Each spring we hold an awards ceremony to recognize our skaters, program assistants and volunteers. It is held in conjunction with the AGM.

Elections for the Board of Directors also takes place at this time. If you would like to run for a position, nomination forms are available in the club office. Nomination forms must be handed into the club office prior to the AGM.

10 minutes prior to the first CANSKATE session for each 11 week session, there will be a Parent Orientation with the Head Coach. This will take place in the lobby near the entry to the ice surface.
Prior to taking to the ice on the first Pre-CANSKATE session, coach Tammy will hold a Parent and Skater Orientation in the lobby.
Mondays: 6:00-7:30 PM
Tuesdays: 8:00-9:00 PM
(First 3 weeks of each session only)
Wednesdays: 5:00-8:00 PM
Fridays: 5:00-7:00 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Our club office is manned by volunteers. It is closed from May-August in addition to the Christmas break. Please be advised, that if it is a “Modified Schedule” day on our Calendar, the office hours may be adjusted to suit.
