ADULTSkate offers adults recreational, test and competitive opportunities. Adults can participate in CANSkate, STARSkate and/or CANPowerSkate programs. Adult championships currently provide opportunities to adult skaters to experience the challenge of a competition in a fun, social environment. Skate Canada is currently expanding its programming in this area.
Adult CANSkate is a fun & friendly 50 min. group lesson program designed for adults of any age (16+) with limited or no skating background. Skaters progress through 6 stages at their own speed and are evaluated regularly. Skaters are instructed in a group by a Professional Club Coach and given individual feedback.Monday $180.00 for 11 classes + $40 for fundraising tickets Monday $320.00 for 22 classes + $40 for fundraising tickets Saturday $155.00 for 9 classes + $40 for fundraising tickets
A VALID CSA APPROVED HOCKEY HELMET IS MANDATORY UP TO AND INCLUDING STAGE 5. No bicycle or ski helmets are allowed! Wrist guards are highly recommended!
JuniorSTAR is a 90 minutes on-ice/day + 30 minutes off-ice/week program for skaters that want to pursue STARSkate Tests, compete or just skate for fun. Adults will be integrated within the JuniorSTAR program. You must make arrangements to hire a club coach for private or small group lessons. JuniorSTAR skaters may opt to take GroupSTAR on Saturdays. Please discuss this option with your coach prior to registering. Skaters may have passed Stage 5.
Off-Ice Fitness & Yoga will be provided to all of our JuniorSTAR skaters on Saturdays by a certified trainer. An effective way to increase performance and fitness without the added cost of ice time! This is included in your membership package! Please note that this program is for ALL JuniorSTAR skaters regardless of your skating day.
The daily ice package includes stroking, freeskate, dance, and skills. Friday is a combined session with JuniorSTAR and SeniorSTAR only.
Program pricing and multiple day discounts are on the downloadable registration form at the bottom of this page. If you are a previous STARSkater with CSC, you will receive a Loyalty Rewards letter notifying you of your discount prior to the season.Wednesdays: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
SeniorSTAR is for skaters want to pursue STARSkate Tests, compete or just skate for fun. Skaters must have passed their complete Preliminary Freeskate Test or STAR 3 Freeskate Test or Sr. Bronze Dance Test. Adults are integrated within the SeniorSTAR Program. Our coaches recommend a 2-3 day package at this level. Skaters are required to hire a professional coach for private lessons, which are billed directly to the skater. Please confirm with your coach which sessions you will be skating.

CANPower l - Skaters must show strong forward skating (they must be able to skate the length of the rink using alternate strides) , a good understanding of backward skating, and ability to perform both hockey stops and forward crossovers to a satisfactory standard. Skaters may be separated according to ability.
CANPower ll - Continue development of skills from CANPower I with emphasis being on adding speed and/or power to the skills. To enter CanPower II, skaters must show proper hockey strides in players stand, backward cross-cuts both with and without a glide in between, have strong hockey stops in both directions, have a strong understanding of crossovers, ability to perform backwards crossovers, and ability to go from skating forward to backward and backward to forward without stopping. Skaters may be separated by ability, if needed.Coach: Tammy Van Scheyndel
